Duke Of Edinburgh’s Award

We have three groups currently working towards completing their Duke of Edinburgh Awards, 2 groups are working towards their bronze awards and 1 group towards their silver awards. They have completed their practice expeditions and are working towards an assessed expedition in September.

We will be recruiting for new groups from mid-September so if you are in Year 9 or above and are interested in completing your award with us, contact Andrew at andrew@cedars-youth.org.uk or Ali at ali@cedars-youth.org.uk for more information and to register.

In order to complete the awards, the participants show evidence of regular volunteering, engagement in a physical activity and use of a skill, as well as completing the practice and assessed expeditions. For more information about the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, visit www.dofe.org

Highlights of the practice expedition at Box Hill included toasting marshmallows around the campfire, eating lunch looking out from the top of the hill and the sense of achievement as we sat at the train station eating the leftover biscuits at the end!
